Nordic data centre operator atNorth has appointed Chris Larsen as Chief Technical Officer, based at its DEN01 facility in Denmark.

Chris Larsen brings data centre operations experience to atNorth, which provides high-performance computing and AI infrastructure services across the Nordic region. His previous work includes managing technical teams and implementing standardisation processes in international data centre environments.

At the DEN01 site - a 30 megawatt (MW) data centre facility near Copenhagen - Chris will oversee technology strategy development and implementation. His role includes monitoring sustainability metrics and market developments to align atNorth's technical infrastructure with client computing requirements.

He will report directly to atNorth’s Chief Development Officer, Anna Kristín Pálsdóttir, who is also featured in this magazine edition. His addition to the company’s development team coincides with Charlotte Ware as atNorth’s Design Director and Jack Bölja as Excellence Director.

atNorth is currently undergoing a significant data centre expansion strategy as part of an ongoing programme of continuous innovation and improvement. It is hoped that this will enable the company to adapt to the growing demand for high performance and sustainable infrastructure.

“As the demand for our services continues to increase it is essential that we scale in an innovative, efficient and sustainable way to meet the future needs of hyperscalers and other data driven global enterprises” says Anna Kristín Pálsdóttir, Chief Development Officer at atNorth. “Our hiring strategy reflects this mission, and we are delighted to welcome these new additions to our Development Team.”
