eStruxture has appointed Taylor Hammond as Vice President, Head of Corporate Development and Capital Markets, where he will be responsible for overseeing capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, real estate and power procurement.
Taylor has experience in capital markets and digital infrastructure, as well as equity and debt transactions, with a focus on data centres and related infrastructure.
Before joining eStruxture Taylor was Director, Investment Banking at Scotiabank, where he led the bank’s Digital Infrastructure team.
Taylor said he was excited to join eStruxture at such a pivotal moment in the company’s evolution, as the data centre industry navigates continued growth. He will utilise his knowledge of capital markets to support eStruxture’s strategic initiatives across Canada.
The company offers colocation, bandwidth, security and support services to customers across Canada in its carrier and cloud-neutral facilities. eStruxture has sites in Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver, making it the biggest Canadian data centre provider.

Job To JLL - Technical Consulting Specialist
Mark Harper has joined JLL as a Technical Consulting Specialist for its data centre practice in EMEA. He will support clients in reaching their technical needs across the JLL data centre solution.
“I thrive on driving innovation and change and, with that, consistently keeping data centres at the forefront of technology advancements,” Mark said. “I’m thrilled to join JLL and further influence and shape the direction of data centres using industry-leading innovations.”
Harper has 27 years of industry experience and knowledge of the operational landscape. At JLL’s London offices, he will provide guidance in technical due diligence, drive operational sustainability, advise clients on technical risk management and legacy retrofit projects, explore technology innovation opportunities and promote operational excellence.

JLL Research recently published a report on the growth trajectory for edge data centres, where results showed that edge IT infrastructure and data centres will become a US$317bn market globally by 2026. The demand for colocation, hyperscale, edge and enterprise data centres, fueled by the rise of AI and machine learning, is transforming the data centre sector. Clearly, Mark has his work cut out for him.

Job To PowerHouse Data Centers - Vice President of Development and Construction
PowerHouse Data Centers, a real estate partner for next-generation hyperscale data centres and division of American Real Estate Partners (AREP), has hired Pete McGrath as Vice President of Development and Construction, with a goal to continue its operational momentum for the world’s most advanced hyperscale data centre deployments. The company was founded in 2021 and is based in Virginia, USA.
Pete has more than three decades of experience in data centre construction, including managing Northeast U.S. construction for AWS. He also worked as Senior Project Manager for Jacobs Engineering for 19 years and as a Project Engineer for AECOM before that.
Pete shared that after six years, five continents and two laptops, he felt it was time for a new adventure.
“While I had an amazing time at Amazon Web Services working with some of the brightest minds in the data centre construction industry, I'm happy to share that I've started a new position as a Vice President of Data Center Development and Construction with PowerHouse Data Centers. I'm looking forward to supporting new customers while learning about Data Center development from the best in the business.”
