Leading data centre company atNorth has appointed a new Director of Hyperscale Operations to drive data centre excellence across the Nordic region.

Renowned data centre expert Jörgen Larsson joins atNorth at a pivotal time within the industry and aims to bolster the company’s growth plans.

Holding more than 20 years of experience across the data centre industry, having previously worked for Meta, Jörgen will help scale the business to meet the continued high demand for AI, HPC and colocation services.

2. Sumit Gupta

Job From: Snr Director and Head of Product Management, Google Infrastructure

Job To: Director of Products, Apple Cloud

Sumit Gupta, formerly Google's senior director overseeing data center infrastructure products, has joined Apple as director of products for Apple Cloud. Gupta brings extensive experience in AI/ML, having spearheaded Google's TPU-based supercomputer for large language models and previously building Nvidia's AI data center business to over $1 billion in revenue.

3. Tony Ford

Job From: Account Director, Colt

Job To: Sales Director, Verne Data Centres

Tony Ford, a veteran with over 20 years of enterprise sales experience, notably at Colt as Account Director since 2016, has been appointed Sales Director at Verne. Based in London, Ford will focus on Verne's sustainable data centre services, guiding organisations to migrate compute infrastructure to the renewable energy-rich Nordic region.

4. Sam Hill

Job From: Project Director, Arcadis

Job To:Data Centres Lead UK&I, JLL

Sam Hill has been appointed as the Project & Development Services (PDS) Data Centres Lead in the UK for JLL. In this role, Hill will lead data centre PDS projects, leveraging his extensive experience managing engineering construction and design deliverables. He joins from Arcadis where he led a major EMEA data centre account for design and project management.
