Who is Pulsant’s new Chief Digital Officer Navinder Uppal?

Navinder Uppal joins Pulsant in the newly-created role of CDO from JLA Group

IT services and consulting firm Pulsant has appointed its first CDO. Navinder Uppal brings more than 20 years of industry experience to Pulsant’s executive leadership team in his newly created role.

Uppal’s new position will see him focus on providing strategic direction and leadership around the delivery of Pulsant’s digital and systems roadmap, including core business support systems and their integration into the wider digital client experience to support client and business needs.

CEO Rob Coupland said that Uppal will be “a tremendous asset to Pulsant” as the brand continues to pursue its ambitions in the edge infrastructure space. “His passion for leading change focused on client outcomes and breadth of experience in digital execution and systems transformation are particularly relevant for us as operational excellence is a central pillar of our growth strategy,” he added.

Uppal said of his appointment: “In the fast-paced digital environment we operate in, it’s essential to embed a progressive process and service infrastructure to support its strategic growth priorities. To succeed, I need to ensure all our team have access to the right tooling to deliver industry-leading service to clients, and enhance that client sentiment via seamless self-service experience.”

Who is Navinder Uppal, CDO of Pulsant?

Uppal has an extensive track record in system transformation and change management programmes. 

A seasoned senior technology and digital transformation expert, Uppal was previously Group Technical Director at JLA Group from 2019, where he led a three-year improvement plan to deliver a cohesive service ecosystem through IoT innovation within JLA to improve process efficiency and digital client engagement. 

Before joining JLA, Uppal served as Head of Technology - Programmes and Application Development at British supermarket giant Morrisons, where he delivered major change initiatives within logistics, supply chain, commercial, manufacturing and retail environments.

Pulsant says Uppal’s impressive track record in driving technological change to support business resilience and performance has shone in his senior technology roles.
