Data Centre Sustainability panel

When: 25 March 2025
Time: 4:00 pm
Where: Virtual

The operations of data centres can often be energy-intensive. Because of this, we must address data centre sustainability to directly tackle this environmental impact and create a greener future

Integrating sustainable practices will not only allow data centres to reduce their carbon footprint but will also allow them to align with evolving global climate goals and regulatory requirements.

Data centres can do so by embracing energy-efficient technologies, like renewable energy integration and advanced cooling systems, which lower operating costs and minimise environmental impact.

We must leverage sustainable strategies to meet the growing data demands and energy intensity from the rise of edge computing facilities and hyperscale.

Not only will sustainable data centres enhance brand reputation by helping companies meet stakeholder expectations for corporate responsibility and environmental stewardship but it will also secure business continuity amid energy shortages by reducing our reliance on non-renewable energy sources.

By integrating sustainability into data centres, we can support long-term growth and innovation to ensure we contribute to a more sustainable digital economy and comply with evolving environmental regulations.
