International Women’s Day

International Women's Day, celebrated annually on 8 March as part of Women’s History Month, is a global tribute to women's achievements, challenges and the ongoing fight for gender equality

It highlights remarkable women who have transformed societies through leadership, innovation and resilience across various fields like science, politics, arts and business.

In the data centre industry alone, women make up less than 10% of the workforce - a figure unchanged since before the COVID-19 pandemic.

This month serves as a powerful platform to recognise women's contributions, discuss persistent challenges like workplace discrimination and unequal opportunities and amplify voices advocating for systemic change.

A celebration of women…

In 2021, Data Centre Magazine’s parent company BizClik initiated the Top 100 Women in FinTech, Supply Chain and Technology lists. They were joined by the Top 100 Women in Sustainability and Procurement in 2022 and, new for 2025, the Top 100 Women in Data Centre.

BizClik’s in-house data team meticulously evaluates nominees using criteria including job role, experience, company metrics and peer nominations. The selection process is rigorous, ensuring only the most exceptional women are recognised.

“It is a list that is packed with incredible leaders: people who talk about change, then make it happen. Notably, they are fostering that change at many of the world’s largest companies.”

Those featured across these supplements have not just earned a prestigious spot on the list, but have also garnered profound respect through their remarkable professional achievements, showcasing outstanding talent and unwavering determination in their respective industries.
