Data Centre Marketing Club launches this week
The Data Centre Marketing Club has been formed to champion best practice, collaboration and storytelling in the digital infrastructure community

Co-founded by Senior Education, Influencer, Marketing and PR leaders, the new Data Centre Marketing Club is set to host its first Masterclass at Norton Rose Fullbright on 22nd May 2025.

The event aims to explore the key marketing challenges and opportunities currently facing the data centre sector, providing attendees with a platform to share marketing best practices across the industry community. It hopes to enable PR, marketing and social media professionals to collaborate, share knowledge and champion branding, marketing and storytelling.

This has been co-founded by Giuseppe Caltabiano, Senior Marketing Director at AVK; Andy Davis, Director at DataX Connect and host of the Inside Data Centre Podcast; Nicola Hayes, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Platform Markets Group; Adam Nethersole, Vice President (VP) Marketing at Kao Data and Rory Flashman-Wells, Managing Director at Spa Communications Ltd.

By creating an open community, the Data Centre Marketing Club also aims to address the negative perception of data centres by improving marketing and communications about the industry's role in technological innovation and sustainability - and its position as a global platform for economic growth.

The speakers hope that, by encouraging cross-industry learning and providing members with foundational tools and a space to enhance their skillsets, the community can help marketers better understand their strategic value to digital infrastructure organisations.

It also hopes to help these professionals develop the confidence to create campaigns that deliver clear outcomes for leadership teams.

On the 22nd May 2025, the Data Centre Marketing Club is set to host its first, free-to-attend Masterclass event, ā€˜Cutting Through the Noise’, at legal firm Norton Rose Fullbright.

The event will focus on the critical role of brand in business growth and how marketers can accelerate impact by delivering a joined-up approach to sales, marketing and communications strategies. It will be open to marketing, PR and social media professionals across the industry.

Key sessions will include:
  • ā€˜The ROI of Brand Building in B2B’ led by Prof. Charles Graham of the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute
  • ā€˜Building a standout brand in the data centre sector’ featuring James Dunn, Co-Founder and Creative Director at WeDoCo and Giuseppe Caltabiano, Senior Marketing Director at AVK
  • ā€˜The ROI of Storytelling’ by Tim Love, Founder of CFH London

Andy Davis and Josie Hughes, Director of Marketing, Strategy and Culture at DataX Connect will speak about the role of marketing in attracting talent. 

Additionally, Adam Nethersole, VP Marketing at Kao Data and Rory Flashman-Wells, MD at Spa Communications Ltd will present on ‘Making Markets’, which will explore how critical PR can be to propelling business growth forward. 

The event will end with 'The Storytelling Panel', which will feature Georgia Lewis Anderson, Co-Founder at Lantyn, Katryna Turner, Global Brand Strategist at PwC and Duncan White, Senior Director of Communications & Marketing at AtlasEdge.

This is followed by an ‘Ask the Experts’ session moderated by Kristy Harrower, Partner at Norton Rose Fullbright, featuring key insights from Sue Jones, Senior Vice President, Global Marketing at Digital Realty and Katryna Turner.
