Robi Axiata Subsidiary Launch New Data Centre in Bangladesh
Designed to elevate Bangladesh’s digital infrastructure, the new data centre Cypher will aim to bring cutting-edge technology to the forefront of the country’s digital efforts.
Designed by Axentec PLC, a subsidiary of Robi Axiata Limited, this is Bangladesh’s premier data centre as it will operate to ensure robust reliability, security and efficiency in the rapidly evolving landscape of digital transformation.
This news comes at a time where plenty of countries across South Asia are experiencing a boost within their respective data centre industries. This includes India, which has recently seen a huge wave of data centre investments on account of artificial intelligence (AI).
Powering the future of data centres
Cypher is strategically located in Jashore’s safest seismic zone and covers more than 16,500 square feet, featuring industry-leading equipment. Additionally, Cypher will offer 2N redundancy and fault tolerance power backup systems, as well as advanced cooling mechanisms to ensure that the data centre will run with optimal performance and reliability.
Cooling solutions have already been highlighted as a potentially transformative solution for key industries, including the telco sector, due to its ability to reduce energy consumption and lower costs.
With the data centre colocation market predicted to reach US$279.1bn by 2034, there is a greater need for companies to ensure that their operations are as sustainable as possible to prevent draining local resources.
The Cypher data centre aims to offer an unparalleled uptime guarantee of 99.995%, with the highest-grade security measures such as biometric access control and site surveillance to safeguard against both physical and cyber threats. Additionally, the data centre is also set to offer operational excellence and holds a Tier-IV certification.
Designed to empower businesses with a secure, reliable and scalable colocation platform, Cypher will facilitate seamless adaptation and expansion without compromising performance.
