Dr. Dave Burgess is the VP of Data Engineering at Pinterest. He has over 25 years’ experience building high performing teams with innovative and collaborative cultures, and delivering intuitive, scalable and highly-available products. Before Pinterest, Burgess completed a doctorate at Oxford University and postdoctoral research at Stanford University in Numerical Analysis and Computing. He was the 4th engineer at E2open which provided visibility into supply chains, Chief Architect of Global Display Advertising Solutions at Yahoo!, CTO of a couple of startups in online advertising and social networking, and head of Data Engineering at Twilio.
