CloudHQ: Leaders in Hyperscale, Power and Fibre Connectivity

CloudHQâs inclusion at number 18 in Data Centre Magazineâs Top 100 for 2025 reflects this focus on scale and delivery across core markets.
The ranking sits within a wider editorial programme that tracks cloud, colocation and energy trends shaping digital infrastructure.
What does CloudHQ do?
CloudHQ designs, builds and operates wholesale data centre campuses for cloud platforms and large enterprises.
The model focuses on scale, speed to market and power density across multi-building sites.
As of November 2024, CloudHQ reported 11 leased data centres with more than 970MW of contracted IT load in the US and Europe and a further more than 580MW under construction under its green finance framework.
UK and Europe build
In the UK, CloudHQâs LHR campus at Didcot sits within reach of Slough via a private diverse fibre route and next to a 400kV National Grid substation â enabling transmission-level connections.
The campus offers more than approximately 100MW of IT load today with headroom to expand to 300MW.
In a UK government announcement on foreign investment into AI infrastructure, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of CloudHQ, Hossein Fateh says: âWe are very excited to deliver a hyper-scale campus in the UK that is truly an extension of Slough due to our private diverse fibre optic route.
âOur site enables us to build out our campus environment to provide scale and density to meet our customersâ requirements.â
CloudHQâs Paris CDG campus in Lisses comprises two 74.4MW buildings supplied by an on-site 225kV substation.
Waste heat from the site is being connected to the Corbeil-Essonnes district heating network with capacity to warm up to 7,000 homes.
North America growth
CloudHQâs expansion in the US includes a campus in Mount Prospect, Illinois.
Construction began in 2022 with a plan for three buildings and a dedicated ComEd substation, with a total project cost of US$2.5bn.
Keith Harney, COO of CloudHQ, says: âThe location, scale and speed to market of our ORD Campus reinforces all we strive to achieve, as partners to our customers.â
In Mexico, CloudHQ has outlined a US$4.8bn campus in Querétaro comprising six facilities and targeting waterless cooling to reduce local water use.
Reuters reports that CloudHQ is seeking a long-term tenant lease before proceeding to full construction, with an initial ready-for-service window around 2027.
CloudHQ lists a 360MW critical IT load and an on-site substation connected at 400kV.
Asia expansion
In January 2025, CloudHQ entered a joint venture with ESR to complete and operate the 130MW Cosmosquare campus in Osaka.
Hossein says: âESRâs deep local real estate knowledge combined with CloudHQâs engineering expertise will make this a powerful partnership going forward.
âThis joint venture will enable us to better serve our clients in Japan and across the Asia Pacific region, ensuring they have access to the highest quality data centre infrastructure and services.â
Why CloudHQ ranks in the Top 100
CloudHQâs portfolio and pipeline align with themes in Data Centre Magazineâs Top 100 List â scale campuses, power and grid integration, fibre connectivity and steps on energy and water.
Recent coverage has focused on the UK classifying data centres as CNI and on US$8.2bn of US investment into UK digital infrastructure.
CloudHQâs current projects in Illinois, Paris, Didcot and Osaka â and a Mexico campus aimed at reduced water use â indicate a delivery model tuned to cloud and AI growth across multiple regions.
