Data Centre LIVE: Who's Leading Hyperscale Strategies?

As hyperscale infrastructure evolves to support the rapid rise of AI and high-density workloads, operators are under increasing pressure to scale faster while maintaining efficiency and resilience.
The industry is entering a new phase of transformation, from regional expansion strategies to supply chain constraints and the challenge of supporting escalating compute density,
At Data Centre LIVE: The London Summit, the Hyperscale Strategies panel will bring together leaders from across infrastructure and enterprise technology to discuss how hyperscale operators are adapting to this demand.
The session, hosted by Tim Curtis from BizClik, will explore how facilities are being designed and deployed for the next era of digital services, alongside the innovations helping operators improve sustainability and optimise performance.
Amy Daniell on hyperscale expansion and delivery
Representing STACK Infrastructure will be Amy Daniell, Senior Vice President of Strategy and Development.
Her experience spans nearly a decade across mission critical infrastructure delivery and hyperscale development.
She began her career delivering major data centre builds for global clients including Dell, IBM, Ericsson and Vodafone before joining AECOM, where she helped drive mission critical engineering initiatives across EMEA and APAC.
Her work contributed to AECOM becoming a recognised partner for both global enterprises and specialist data centre operators.
She later joined NTT DATA in its hyperscale team, supporting relationships and delivery programmes for some of the industry’s largest operators.
Now leading strategy and development for STACK Infrastructure across EMEA, Amy brings deep expertise in hyperscale growth, large-scale deployment and the operational demands of expanding infrastructure footprints across multiple regions.
Her perspective will be particularly valuable as the panel examines how operators are balancing scalability and sustainability in increasingly competitive markets.
Clive Deakin on cloud transformation and operational scale
Joining the discussion from Iron Mountain is Clive Deakin, a strategic technology leader with extensive experience in cloud transformation, enterprise architecture and operating model design.
Clive has built a reputation for helping organisations modernise digital operations through scalable cloud strategies and technology transformation programmes.
His expertise spans AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform, with a strong focus on governance and aligning technology investment with long-term business outcomes.
Across his international career, Clive has led large-scale transformation initiatives and implemented frameworks that enable organisations to scale more effectively while maintaining resilience and performance.
His insight into cloud architecture and enterprise modernisation will bring a critical strategic dimension to the conversation.
Ben Watson on operational innovation at AWS
Representing Amazon Web Services will be Ben Watson, whose technical background spans electrical engineering, process automation, aerospace electronics and IT infrastructure.
Ben’s career has centred on evaluating and implementing emerging technologies that improve operational performance and efficiency.
His experience across multiple technical disciplines gives him a strong understanding of how infrastructure innovation can support increasingly demanding digital environments.
At AWS, Ben works closely with operational technologies and infrastructure systems that underpin hyperscale cloud delivery in the UK.
His perspective will provide attendees with insight into the practical realities of scaling operations and supporting next-generation compute requirements.
Richard Wilkinson on enterprise transformation and technology leadership
Also joining the panel is Richard Wilkinson from DXC Technology, who brings more than 30 years of international experience building and managing technology and consulting teams.
Richard has worked across virtually every stage of enterprise IT transformation, including solution architecture, service transition, post-merger integration and service management.
His experience leading consulting and technology teams across international markets gives him a strong understanding of how organisations are adapting infrastructure strategies to meet changing business and digital demands.
His contribution to the panel is expected to focus on the intersection between enterprise transformation and hyperscale infrastructure, particularly as organisations rethink technology delivery, cloud integration and operational resilience in an AI-driven landscape.
