Year in Review: Data Centre Magazine's Top 10 Women 2025

As we take a look back at the past year, the influence of women in the data centre industry has never felt more significant.
2025 has seen remarkable progress driven by leaders who are reshaping how the sector thinks, builds and grows. Their work spans technical excellence, strategic vision and a commitment to creating more inclusive workplaces, setting new expectations for what the industry can achieve.
In March, Data Centre Magazine released its 2025 Top 100 Women list, celebrating the women leaders in the industry.
The women featured in this list as the Top 10 highlight those who have not only excelled in their roles but have also helped shift long-standing perceptions across the technology sector.
Their contributions reflect a year defined by innovation, resilience and meaningful change.
It is a privilege to recognise their impact and to celebrate the momentum they have created for the future.
10) Danielle Rossi
Danielle Rossi has worked in data centre solution design and engineering for nearly 20 years, including hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, edge and government environments.
As Global Director of Mission Critical Cooling at Trane Technologies, Danielle manages global mission critical cooling products and processes to provide a standardised deliverable for customers executing projects worldwide. She also works to pioneer data centre cooling with sustainability in mind, whilst improving design, development and operation processes.
9) Susanna Kass
Susanna Kass is a renowned cloud sustainability executive and clean energy advisor, committed to driving higher ESG standards for data centres. She acts as a consistent voice across the industry by working towards the common goal accelerating the clean energy transition.
Her work at InfraPrime has allowed her to aid countless organisations to achieve their carbon neutrality goals by 2028-30.
8) Amy Daniell
Amy Daniell has been in the industry for more than a decade, having spent the early part of her career delivering data centre builds for leading technology companies. Notably, she worked for AECOM to drive mission critical engineering worldwide, which resulted in her becoming an industry thought leader.
Prior to joining STACK EMEA as SVP Strategy and Development, she was Director of Data Centre Engineering at Microsoft, before joining NTT as Senior Director, Hyperscale.
7) Dame Dawn Childs
Dame Dawn Childs has been CEO at Pure Data Centres since May 2023. She is an accomplished engineer and operator who was honoured with a Fellowship from the Royal Academy of Engineering in 2020 and appointed Dame Commander of the British Empire (DBE) in 2023 for her services to engineering.
Prior to joining Pure Data Centres, she has held senior positions at the National Grid, Gatwick Airport and the Royal Air Force.
6) Nancy Novak
As Chief Innovation Officer for Compass Datacenters, Nancy Novak delivers cutting-edge sustainability technologies and is continuously improving the delivery of sustainable, reliable and customisable data centres.
Recently inducted into the National Academy of Construction, she aims to continue pushing industry boundaries.
Nancy is also a strong advocate for disrupting the status quo in women’s leadership, using her more than 30 years in the industry to drive value and change through a culture of innovation.
5) Yun Freund
Having been at Google Cloud since 2023, Yun Freund is a transformational global technology executive who has held key roles at global organisations like Equinix, GE Digital and Cisco. She has advised on hybrid multi-cloud and platform strategy over the course of her 25+ year career.
Yun is consistently named one of the most powerful women in technology and remains passionate about making companies more diverse and inclusive to drive business impact.
4) Noelle Walsh
Noelle Walsh currently leads the team that builds and operates Microsoft’s digital infrastructure. She is responsible for every stage of the data centre and edge lifecycle, including supply planning, land, energy, fibre acquisition and data centre sustainability.
She helped introduce Microsoft’s data centre designs that use zero water for cooling.
3) Serene Nah
As Managing Director and Head of Asia-Pacific at Digital Realty, Serene Nah is responsible for strategic growth in established and new markets. She holds extensive experience in finance, mergers and acquisitions and business transformation and currently serves on the boards of ESR and Digital Core REIT.
Serene is also driving unified dialogue on data centre policy matters across the APAC region as Vice Chair of the Asia-Pacific Data Center Association (APDCA).
2) Tanuja Randery
Tanuja Randery is passionate about transforming businesses to realise their true potential. As MD of EMEA at AWS, she provides strategic expertise to enable its clients to digitalise operations, support employee wellbeing and grow sustainably.
As a woman in STEM, Tanuja has shared her belief in the power of DEI to achieve long-term success that empowers communities and businesses alike. She has previously worked as a non-executive director across the technology industry, including at Proximus.
1) Adaire Fox-Martin
Adaire Fox-Martin became Equinix President and CEO in June 2024, bringing with her more than 25 years of experience in the business technology sector.
As an internationally recognised leader, she joined Equinix from her previous role as President for Google Cloud Go to Market. Prior to Google, Adaire held several leadership positions worldwide, including at Oracle and SAP.
She holds a deep passion for social entrepreneurship and using businesses as a force for positive change.
