Dallas-based Csquare combines space, power and connectivity for enterprises embracing AI workloads through its managed colocation platform

When enterprises face mounting pressure from AI workloads and shifting infrastructure demands, managed colocation has emerged as the answer – and Csquare is at the forefront of this transformation.

The company's business model coalesces around offering space, power and connectivity for enterprise and hyperscale customers who prefer managed colocation rather than building their own data centres. This approach has made Csquare a key infrastructure partner during a period when global data centre capacity could more than triple by 2030.

Founded in early 2024 through the merger of Evoque Data Center Solutions and Cyxtera Technologies under Brookfield Infrastructure Partners, Csquare rapidly established itself as a colocation powerhouse. The April 2024 rebrand unified two substantial portfolios into a single operator with 80 facilities following recent acquisitions.

Strategic expansion

In October 2025, Csquare announced a US$1bn self-funded expansion, adding 10 data centres across strategic North American markets. The acquisition package included facilities in Dallas, Boston, Minneapolis, Tulsa, Nashville, Raleigh, Toronto and Montreal – expanding the company's footprint to capture surging demand for AI-ready infrastructure.

Spencer Mullee, CEO of Csquare

"This package of acquisitions represents more than just volume growth – it reflects the growing strength and gaining momentum of our platform," said Spencer Mullee, CEO of Csquare.

"By adding capacity in strategic markets, we are positioning Csquare to capture the surging demand for trusted, high-performance infrastructure."

Spencer emphasised that customers ranging from enterprise to scale are seeking partners capable of growth alongside them. "Our customers – from enterprise to scale – are looking for partners who can grow with them and we are delivering the reliable power, connectivity and engineered environments they need to accelerate innovation,” he explained.

The managed colocation advantage

Csquare's service mix emphasises high-density workloads, GPU-intensive computing and enterprise migration off-premises. The company guarantees a 100% uptime service level agreement for its managed colocation services – a critical commitment as businesses increasingly depend on uninterrupted infrastructure.

Udhay Mathialagan, CEO of Brookfield Global Data Centers and Chair of Csquare

Udhay Mathialagan, CEO of Brookfield Global Data Centers and Chair of Csquare, articulated the market shift driving demand. "Workloads are shifting – we're seeing enterprises move off-premises, reconsider public-cloud strategies and embrace AI-driven architectures that demand radically higher power densities," he said.

Udhay highlighted Csquare's operational excellence: "Over the last two years, Csquare has continued to grow its customer and revenue base and developed a strong cost-efficient operating platform.

“These factors position the company well to make smart, value-accretive acquisitions such as these with the benefit of high confidence levels on revenues and costs.”

Enterprise-grade infrastructure

Csquare operates more than 500MW of operational capacity with an additional 200MW available for near-term expansion.

The company's facilities span 80 locations across North America and the United Kingdom, serving thousands of organisations across technology, financial services, healthcare and media sectors.

The platform's managed colocation offerings include flexible solutions ranging from single cabinets to full suites, all backed by carrier-neutral connectivity and advanced security. Remote hands services alongside 7x24x365 monitoring allow customers to focus on core operations while Csquare manages the space, power, security, connectivity and cooling.

Leadership for growth

In April 2025, Csquare appointed Jason Carolan as Chief Development Officer to oversee portfolio growth and expansion activities. Jason brings over 25 years of experience in data centre infrastructure, cloud and network services.

"[Jason's] credentials and expertise fit perfectly with our leadership team laser-focused on delivering highly reliable data centres and colocation services backed by world-class customer care," said Spencer when announcing the appointment.

This strategic hire signals Csquare's ambition to accelerate development and acquisitions while maintaining operational excellence.

Recognition and momentum

In September 2025, Csquare was named number 11 in Data Centre Magazine's Top 100 Data Centre Companies. The company also executed an US$815m bond issuance in August 2025 to support continued portfolio growth – demonstrating market confidence and the capital intensity required for modern data centre infrastructure.

As AI adoption accelerates and enterprises reconsider their infrastructure strategies, Csquare's managed colocation model offers a compelling alternative to building proprietary facilities.

With Brookfield's backing, operational scale and strategic positioning in high-growth markets, the company has established itself as a leading platform for enterprise organisations navigating the AI era.
