How IDCA Will Support Khazna Data Centers AI & Cloud Growth

Signing a deal with the International Data Centre Authority (IDCA), Khazna Data Centers hopes to benchmark its data centre services.
IDCA is a world-leading economy think tank and digital infrastructure standardisation, certification and education authority for modern data centres, cloud infrastructure and AI. It is now set to review and analyse Khazna’s operations with its globally recognised standards, including the company’s data centre design, service delivery, cloud and AI deployments and workforce development.
“IDCA’s framework is an industry benchmark that reflects the full complexity of modern digital infrastructure, particularly in cloud and AI,” says Hassan Alnaqbi, CEO of Khazna. “Our alignment to these standards is another step towards aligning with broader international benchmarks.”
The journey towards building more data centre capacity
The certification process, which started on 1 July 2025, includes comprehensive audits of Khazna’s infrastructure, operational protocols and corporate systems.
Dedicated teams from both organisations have already been mobilised to oversee the full compliance and certification programme.
“This strategic alliance between IDCA and Khazna will give Khazna’s current and future clients the assurance that their data is being housed in facilities meeting the leading global standards and latest best practices,” says IDCA Chairman and CEO Mehdi Paryavi.
“Khazna plays a critical role in the future of digital infrastructure for cloud and AI and its adoption of IDCA standards exhibits the company's commitment in making a global impact.”
The company is already making moves as it seeks to expand its global network of hyperscale data centres that are providing the digital infrastructure foundation for future economies.
“As AI becomes a defining force in our industry, our partnership with IDCA underscores our commitment to building intelligent, efficient, and globally competitive data centres,” Hassan Alnaqbi says.
Hassan Paryavi adds: “IDCA projects a growth of data centre capacity from the current level of around 55GW to as much as 250 to 300GW by 2030.
This massive explosion of demand requires leading emerging global players like Khazna, who are already delivering results at scale, to meet international benchmarks.”
How Khazna is meeting growing AI and cloud demands
Khazna is eager to lead the charge with AI development, having committed to expanding its Turkish digital footprint by unveiling plans for a new AI-ready facility in Ankara. It has also secured a site in Başkent Organized Industrial Zone (OIZ) that the company says will support up to 100MW of computing capacity when fully developed.
An expansion of this size comes as Türkiye is experiencing substantial growth in its AI capabilities. According to Stanford University's AI Index for 2025, the country has recorded a 198% increase in AI talent concentration between 2016 and 2024.
The company has also partnered with semiconductor leader Nvidia to accelerate AI infrastructure development across the Middle East and Africa (MEA), paving the way for new AI factory developments.
Both organisations have pledged to build AI factories in order to accelerate the delivery of AI infrastructure and meet continued demand for technology across the region.
It speaks to the significant interest that the Middle East is garnering to develop digital services and infrastructure, particularly from US technology leaders.
“At Khazna, we’re not chasing the AI wave, we’re building what the wave will need to survive,” Johan Nilerud, Chief Strategy Officer at Khazna Data Centers, recently told Data Centre Magazine.
“At Khazna, we see ourselves as crucial to this worldwide transformation, providing agile, adaptable environments designed specifically for the dynamic and high-density computing needs of AI technologies.”
