Meta & Nebius: US$27bn Deal for Supplying AI Infrastructure

Multi-billion dollar agreements are nothing new for a technology giant like Meta, and its latest AI infrastructure deal with Nebius suggests a soaring demand for hyperscaling AI in data centres.
The agreement carries a contract value of up to US$27bn and centres on large-scale data centre capacity for AI workloads.
The deal sets out a five-year supply arrangement in which Nebius is providing US$12bn dedicated compute infrastructure across multiple sites, supporting the rapid expansion of AI cloud services by using the NVIDIA Vera Rubin platform.
Meta is supplying US$15bn in its commitment to purchase upcoming Nebius clusters, which Nebius intends to sell to third-party customers of its AI cloud business, as remaining capacity is purchased by Meta.
Arkady Volozh, Founder and CEO of Nebius, lauds the partnership with Meta.
“We are pleased to expand our significant partnership with Meta as part of securing more large, long-term capacity contracts to accelerate the build-out and growth of our core AI cloud business.
“We will continue to deliver.”
Hyperscale data centre capacity
The partnership centres on hyperscale infrastructure designed to support large-scale AI workloads. Nebius is delivering dedicated compute capacity in several locations built on deployments of the NVIDIA Vera Rubin platform.
These systems form part of the next generation of accelerated computing infrastructure used in AI cloud environments. Vera Rubin NVL72, the model used for these operations, is built on the third-generation NVIDIA MGX™ NVL72 rack design.
The platforms will deliver support from over 80 MGX ecosystem partners, and their deployment across Nebius facilities reflects growing demand for high-density computing environments capable of supporting large AI workloads.
For Meta, the agreement secures long-term access to dedicated infrastructure while allowing Nebius to expand the footprint of its AI cloud platform. Deliveries are scheduled to begin from early 2027 as new capacity comes online across Nebius data centre clusters.
Additional capacity across Nebius clusters
Beyond the initial US$12bn commitment, Meta has also agreed to purchase additional available compute capacity from upcoming Nebius clusters.
The arrangement will allow Nebius to maintain a broader cloud customer base while securing a guaranteed buyer for unused capacity.
Nebius states that it intends to sell cluster capacity primarily to third-party customers using its AI cloud services. The remaining capacity across those clusters will then be purchased by Meta under the terms of the agreement.
The combined structure brings the potential contract value to approximately US$27bn across the five-year term and reflects the scale of investment now shaping global AI infrastructure development.
Expanding AI cloud infrastructure
The agreement forms part of Nebius’s wider effort to expand its AI cloud infrastructure through long-term capacity contracts with major technology companies.
By securing large commitments from hyperscale customers, the company will be able to scale new data centre clusters and deploy next-generation computing platforms designed for AI workloads.
Nebius has confirmed that its guidance for 2026 remains unchanged as the infrastructure rollout and capacity delivery timeline begins from 2027, when the first dedicated capacity from the agreement is expected to be deployed.
The deal further strengthens the partnership between the two companies as Nebius continues expanding its global data centre footprint.
