nLighten Grows in France with New Parisian Data Centre

nLighten has acquired a data centre in Ămerainville, Paris from oXya, strengthening its position in one of Europeâs key digital infrastructure markets.
The company, which operates edge data centres across the continent, now holds eight sites in France and more than 30 across seven countries.
Located in Parisâs eastern data centre cluster, the Ămerainville site sits around 1km from nLightenâs existing PAR1 facility.
This proximity creates opportunities for dual-site deployments and increases operational resilience for enterprise customers.
oXya, a provider of managed services and cloud solutions for business-critical applications including SAP, continues as an anchor customer under a long-term master services agreement.
The rest of the capacity is offered to enterprise clients via channel partners, in line with nLightenâs retail-focused approach.
Paris presence supports scalable growth
Harro Beusker, CEO and Co-Founder of nLighten, says: âThe acquisition of this Paris data centre represents a significant expansion of our French footprint and strengthens our position in one of Europeâs most dynamic digital infrastructure markets.
âParis is a critical hub for regional connectivity and this facility enables us to deliver enhanced capacity and resilience to our enterprise customers.
âThe proximity to our existing Paris sites creates operational synergies while also allowing us to support dual-site deployments.
âThis acquisition exemplifies our strategy of building smart, sustainable infrastructure that scales with customer needs and contributes to the digital transformation of European businesses.â
The facility is designed to handle high-density and AI-ready workloads, offering a scalable environment that evolves with enterprise demands.
This aligns with nLightenâs wider plan to deliver interconnected regional infrastructure tailored to enterprise needs.
French strategy focuses on local resilience
This latest addition reinforces nLightenâs ambition to build a distributed and locally managed infrastructure network throughout France.
The companyâs strategy focuses on proximity, regional resilience and supporting digital sovereignty.
Anwar Saliba, Managing Director of nLighten France, says: âThis acquisition fully aligns with our ambition to build a distributed, locally operated digital infrastructure across France.
âBy adding capacity in the Paris region through three interconnected sites, we provide our customers with the conditions needed to deploy more resilient architectures, better secure their data and meet growing requirements in terms of performance, service continuity and digital sovereignty.
âProximity is therefore becoming a concrete driver of sustainable digital transformation in France.â
With three interconnected sites in the Paris region, nLighten offers enterprise customers enhanced redundancy, improved service continuity and closer control over their data.
Customer continuity and cloud focus for oXya
For oXya, the transition allows the company to concentrate on its core offerings while maintaining infrastructure continuity.
Christophe Bronner, Group CFO of oXya, supports the move: âWe are pleased to see this data centre continue its evolution thanks to the partnership with nLighten.
âThis transition allows oXya to focus on its core business of delivering managed cloud services and consulting to our customers, while ensuring continuity and enhanced capabilities for our infrastructure needs.
âWe believe nLightenâs expertise and commitment to sustainable operations will benefit both our organisation and the broader customer community.â
As part of the nLighten platform, the Ămerainville site becomes another point in a growing network of sustainable data centres built to serve evolving enterprise needs.
