Why Yondr Group is Building 550MW Dallas Data Centre Campus

Yondr Group has announced plans to expand its US presence with a 550MW data centre campus in Lancaster, Texas.
The company has secured a 163-acre site south of Dallas to support the development, placing it in one of the country’s most in-demand data centre corridors.
The project represents a major step in Yondr’s US growth strategy and is the first expansion revealed since Aaron Wangenheim was appointed CEO.
Expanding in the US
Aaron says the Dallas project signals the beginning of a new phase for the business.
He says: “The US is a key market for Yondr's next phase of growth, and Dallas is one of the largest and fastest-growing data centre markets in the world. This investment in Dallas is just the beginning.
“Our proven ability to deliver reliable, resilient, and sustainable data centre solutions at scale — backed by the strength of our investors DigitalBridge and La Caisse — positions us incredibly well to support clients in Tier 1 markets where they need us.”
The Dallas campus adds to Yondr’s North American footprint, which already includes two data centres in Northern Virginia totalling 96MW and a 27MW facility in Toronto. The company is also in discussions for further developments in several other Tier 1 US metros.
Beyond the US, Yondr continues to grow in Europe with existing data centre assets in London, Frankfurt and Amsterdam.
Local impact and community support
As one of the largest planned data centre campuses in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the project is expected to bring both economic and community benefits.
The company says the site will create permanent jobs in Lancaster and generate tax revenues for the wider region.
Local suppliers and contractors will also see opportunities throughout both construction and operations phases.
Clyde Hairston, Mayor of Lancaster, says: “We are delighted to welcome Yondr, a respected data centre developer and operator, to Lancaster.
“Yondr has pledged to create full-time jobs as a result of this project and provide significant financial support for local events and community initiatives.
“As Lancaster continues to rise as a shining star of Texas, Yondr's investment further solidifies our city's place on the map as a hub for innovation, infrastructure, and opportunity. We look forward to seeing their campus take shape and their impact flourish within our community.”
A major milestone in Dallas
Dallas is recognised as one of the largest and fastest-growing data centre markets in the world, driven by high demand from cloud providers, enterprises and AI-focused workloads.
The 550MW critical IT load capacity positions Yondr’s new campus to serve some of the most power-hungry applications in the industry.
By choosing Dallas for such a large-scale development, Yondr is aligning its expansion strategy with the needs of hyperscale customers looking for scalable, reliable infrastructure in competitive Tier 1 markets.
Looking ahead
Backed by investors DigitalBridge and La Caisse, Yondr has pursued a concerted expansion strategy to meet demand from global clients. The Dallas campus is set to become a cornerstone of that effort.
Construction is scheduled to begin in 2026, with the project expected to transform the local landscape both economically and technologically.
For Yondr, the development represents both a milestone in its US journey and a statement of intent about its role in delivering hyperscale capacity at speed and scale.
