Data Centre LIVE: The London Summit sets out to answer exactly that question as leaders from across digital infrastructure will gather at Exhibition White City in London on 20-21 May.

Across two days, attendees will hear from experts shaping the future of cloud, AI, cybersecurity and energy strategy through keynote sessions, fireside chats, workshops and panel discussions.

The event focuses on the technologies, partnerships and strategies shaping the future of data centres as demand for AI and high-density workloads continues to grow.

Attendees will hear from data centre experts across sessions covering hyperscale growth, sovereign data centres, AI-ready infrastructure and the energy transition.

The line-up of speakers features leaders from some of the biggest organisations in the world of data centres.

Day one highlights

The first day of the event will begin at 10:20am BST, opening with a keynote from Vittorio Pierangeli, Senior Vice President, Global Power Generation at Rolls-Royce Power Systems, presenting “Powering the AI Era” in The Enterprise Theatre.

The morning will also include the panel called “Global Data Centre Strategies”, at 10:45-11:30, featuring speakers from ABB, CBRE and NTT Global Data Centers.

Later sessions explore AI and quantum convergence, industrial AI strategies and sovereign infrastructure.

Steve Bowes-Phipps, Vice President, EMEA Data Centres & Cloud at State Street, will deliver “AI Carumba! The Impact of Gen AI on Data Centres” at 2:00pm before industry leaders gather for “The AI Data Centre Debate” at 3:30-4:15pm.

The Learning Lab will host workshops and innovation sessions throughout the day, covering intelligent networks, wireless threats, AI factories and power resilience.

Networking drinks begin from 4:30pm following the close of day one.

Day Two Highlights

Day two will begin at 10:00am BST with Richard Wilkinson from DXC Technology discussing “Data Centre Catch-22” in The Enterprise Theatre.

Ben Craske, the Senior Editor of Data Centre Magazine, will then host a fireside session, at 10:20am, on wireless cybersecurity for AI data centres featuring Ivan O'Sullivan from Bastille.

The “Women in Data Centres” panel, at 10:45-11:30am, unites leaders from GEICO, Kyndryl, Yondr Group, Kao Data and JLL to discuss leadership and representation across the sector.

Afternoon sessions focus on neo cloud infrastructure, sustainability and hyperscale growth.

Ben Richardson from CoreWeave will discuss the changing relationship between infrastructure and cloud providers, while Oliver Schiebel from hscale will present “AI Ready Data Centres”, both at 2:00pm. 

The summit closes with the “Hyperscale Strategies” panel featuring leaders from DXC Technology, STACK Infrastructure and Iron Mountain.
