David joined the organisation in 2009 as its Head of Operations. At Data Centre LIVE, David will feature on our ‘AI-Ready Infrastructure’ panel.
What inspired you to get involved in Data Centre LIVE?
Events like this provide a great opportunity to network with peers and more importantly, raise the profile of our industry.
We still have a long way to go to ensure there is wider public knowledge and acceptance of our industry and the critical services we deliver.
Provide an overview of what your panel will focus on.
AI will provide huge opportunities and benefits in the future.
That said, it also requires more power so there is a dependency on the national infrastructure for countries to deliver.
We are at the tipping point for large-scale deployments of this technology, so we will explore how this can be achieved both now and in the future while continuing to support existing demands and explore the potential benefits that can be delivered.
What do you hope to achieve through the event?
I hope to share our findings in this area to date and also provide feedback from a customer lens into the debate.
What emerging trends do you believe will shape the future of the data centre industry over the next decade?
Large-scale liquid deployments, and how we can integrate these into facilities whilst also integrating with the locality, e.g. heat re-use.
