Three Influential Executives Join Data Centre LIVE 2025

Discover three new speakers joining the lineup in March and what they will be discussing below…
Cara Mascini, Chief Sustainability Officer at Switch Datacenters
Cara is a digital infrastructure executive. She has over 25 years of experience in the data centre, telecommunications and internet industries.
Before joining Switch Datacenters as CSO she was responsible for Netflix CDN digital infrastructure in EMEA. She also founded EdgeInfra and held various leadership roles at Eurofiber Group, Liberty Global, Orange and AMS-IX.
Cara holds a a dual degree MBA from TIAS University & Bradford School of Management and has a Computer Science & Telecommunications engineering degree from Polytechnic University of Utrecht.
During Data Centre LIVE, Cara will be taking part in the Global Hyperscale Strategies panel. Participating experts will discuss the key drivers behind hyperscale growth, including technological advancements, market demand, and geographical considerations.
Karl Havard, Chief Operating Officer at Nscale
Karl has more than 25 years of experience in the IT, Cloud and AI industries. Karl has previously held leadership roles at AWS and Google
25+ years in the IT, Cloud and AI industry. Karl has previously held senior leadership roles inside AWS and Google as well as building and leading start-up businesses in the HPC and Generative AI cloud service provider industry.
During Data Centre LIVE, Karl will be taking part in the AI-Ready Infrastructure panel. Alongside the other panellists, Karl will explore the key components of AI-ready infrastructure, including high-performance computing, edge computing, energy efficiency and scalability.
Dame Dawn Childs DBE FREng, CEO at Pure Data Centres Group
Before joining Pure DC, Dame Dawn led a multi-billion transformation programme for National Grid across its gas and electricity transmission businesses. She has also worked for Merlin Entertainments where she was responsible for engineering delivery and standards across the worldwide portfolio of theme parks, as well as the Head of Engineering at Gatwick Airport and Engineering Officer in the Royal Air Force.
Outside of Pure, Dame Dawn is a Trustee of the Royal Academy of Engineering and Chairs the Audit & Risk Committee, she is also a Trustee of the Air League.
Dame Dawn is also a champion of women in engineering. She was the longest-serving President of the Women’s Engineering Society and is currently the Chair of the iMasons Inclusion Committee.
A fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, in October 2020 she was recognised for her outstanding contribution to the engineering profession and was appointed a Dame Commander of the British Empire (DBE) for services to engineering in the King’s New Years Honours 2023.
During Data Centre LIVE, Dame Dawn will be delivering a keynote on strategies for balancing rapid scalability with environmental responsibility and long-term resilience, as well as the growing demand for data storage and connectivity driven by AI.
