The top 10 data centre providers in the Nordics
With more than 90% of the population being regular internet users, Nordic countries are fast becoming digital leaders in the data centre industry. Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Icelandic populations also have outstanding ratings in skills, knowledge, and experience. In short, their human capital is outstanding.
As a result, Scandinavia has been a magnet for new data centre investments over the last decade, with global giants, Google, Apple, AWS and Facebook all making massive financial contributions to the region’s economy.
Annual investments in Scandinavian data centres are predicted to double, reaching $4.57bn by 2025. The Nordic countries have also become a favourite location for data facility investment because they offer the lowest cost renewable green energy in Europe, the naturally cold climate reduces artificial cooling running costs and they are politically and geographically stable.
