Leading European data centre developer and operator, maincubes Secure Datacenters (maincubes), has announced the appointment of Martin Murphy as its new Chief Operating Officer.

“I am excited about the opportunity to join maincubes and contribute to the success of the company,” he says. “There is a huge growth opportunity for maincubes to benefit from the unprecedented tailwinds in the data centre industry and I am looking forward to leveraging my experience in order to support maincubes’ growth ambitions.”

Driving operational excellence and ESG at maincubes

Martin’s presence strengthens the maincubes’ operational performance and its ESG ambitions, as the company continues its international growth.

On the maincubes’ management team, Martin will:
  • Lead internal operations
  • Spearhead customer success

Maincubes also appoints new Executive Chairman

This is one of many shake-ups at the company. As recently reported in Data Centre Magazine, Zahl Limbuwala moved from Chief Operating Officer of AtlasEdge Data Centres, to Executive Chairman of the Advisory Board at maincubes.

With 30 years of high-tech sector experience, Zahl Limbuwala is an established digital infrastructure investor, entrepreneur and former corporate C-suite executive. He has lived and worked around the world, establishing and growing businesses, leading teams and delivering solutions in data centres, systems, network and software development, automation, robotics and engineering.

Zahl said that Martin’s appointment to the management board was in line with maincubes’ growth and its international strategy, with a goal of establishing the company as a premier data centre operator for public, global hyperscale and cloud customers.

“Martin brings an impressive track record and invaluable insights and experience from his various leadership roles across the data centre industry,” Zahl says.
