The new appointments, unpacked
Robert McCabe, new CCO at EXA Infrastructure
With more than 28 years working in the telecom industry, Robert holds a wealth of expertise and is well-positioned to lead EXA Infrastructureās commercial strategy and deliver growth across global markets.
He holds a unique combination of global commercial expertise, having most recently worked at Colt Technology Services where he led business transformation through agile, high-bandwidth solutions.
His career has seen him hold leadership roles across operations, marketing and sales, where he has become well-known for his strategic thinking and relentless focus on efficiency.
The company says his appointment will be central to EXA Infrastructureās strategy of scaling its global network footprint and delivering best-in-class solutions for enterprise and hyperscale customers.
Kate Hennessy, new CFO at EXA Infrastructure
Kate has more than 25 years of experience in telecommunications and digital infrastructure companies.
Prior to EXA Infrastructure, she was CFO at Verne Global, where she established the finance function, drove significant business growth and secured debt financing to support expansion.
Before that, Kate spent 15 years at Liquid Intelligent Technologies, where she held several leadership roles including Group CFO and Chief of M&A. Here, she played a critical role in funding, constructing and operating a fibre network that exceeded 100,000 kilometres and helped to develop the Africa Data Centres platform.
As a result, she was able to drive business growth from US$1m to more than US$240m.
Ts Narayanan, new CTIO at EXA Infrastructure
With a career spanning 38 years across the UK, Nordics and India, EXA Infrastructure views TS Narayanan’s expertise as pivotal in leading systems and technology transformation initiatives that enhance the customer experience.
TS has worked across both the Telco Service Provider and System Integrator segments, having been CIO at Colt and at GCX over the past eight years. Here, he was responsible for delivering major systems and technology transformation of their BSS/OSS, infrastructure and cybersecurity capabilities.
He has also held senior roles in network planning, engineering and rollout at the Department of Telecommunications and at a GSM operator in India for over 12 years.
How EXA Infrastructure is prioritising growth
These appointments follow EXA Infrastructure's recent acquisition of Aqua Comms and further demonstrate its commitment to delivering resilient, future-ready network infrastructure.
The company has been powering ahead with data centre growth so far in 2025. Based in London, it provides critical modern infrastructure that serves as the backbone for digital and economic growth.
- 155,000 km of fibre network
- 37 countries
- Six transatlantic cables
- The lowest latency link between Europe and North America
This includes mission-critical networks for governments and enterprises, hyperscale infrastructure and ultra-low latency high-bandwidth networks for data centres.
EXA Infrastructure has committed to expanding its services across London in particular via a new Telehouse data centre. The company is expanding its services with a strategic investment into diverse fibre connectivity at Telehouse South to further reinforce their critical digital infrastructure platform, with more plans to come in the future.
The company also recently teamed up with telco leader Nokia to deliver a more modernised network and bolster data centre connectivity services.
