atNorth has announced the appointment of two senior directors to its leadership team as the company continues to scale operations and deliver on its strategic growth plans across the Nordic region.

The expansion follows sustained demand for high-density, AI-ready data centres and reflects atNorth’s commitment to building a future-proof organisational structure to meet customer needs responsibly and efficiently.

Strengthening leadership for sustainable growth

The company has appointed Bára Hlín Kristjánsdóttir as Director of PMO & Product and Jonas Lückner as Director of Commercial Management. Both roles are designed to enhance atNorth’s ability to deliver complex, large-scale projects across its expanding data centre portfolio, while maintaining governance and operational excellence.

Bára brings extensive experience in leading transformation programmes across telecoms, software and engineering sectors.

As Director of PMO & Product, she will oversee process development, governance and product alignment across atNorth’s Nordic operations. Her focus will be on connecting functions such as development, sustainability and sales to ensure clarity, scalability and efficiency in project delivery.

Before joining atNorth, she held senior roles at Syn and Marel, where she led digital transformation initiatives and helped align technology, operations and business strategy.

Jonas Lückner joins as Director of Commercial Management, with responsibility for the commercial and financial oversight of atNorth’s data centre developments.

With more than a decade of experience in strategy and financial planning from positions at Telia, Deloitte, KPMG and Folksam, he will oversee contract negotiation, cost optimisation and commercial strategy to support sustainable long-term growth.

His appointment further strengthens atNorth’s approach to balancing expansion with responsible business management.

Building capacity for AI-era demand

The appointments come at a time when demand for AI-capable infrastructure continues to surge across Europe. With enterprises accelerating adoption of high-performance computing (HPC) and AI workloads, data centre operators are under growing pressure to expand capacity while maintaining efficiency and environmental standards.

“As the demand for AI ready data centres continues to grow we are committed to strengthening our team as part of our agile and innovative approach to responsible operations,” said Anna Kristín Pálsdóttir, Chief Development Officer at atNorth. “Bára and Jonas bring significant knowledge and experience to our business and will bolster our position as a trusted high performance data centre partner.”

Anna’s comments underscore the company’s people-first growth strategy, which prioritises the development of leadership capabilities alongside technical infrastructure investments. By expanding its management team, atNorth aims to ensure the right governance and commercial frameworks are in place to support sustainable expansion across multiple Nordic markets.
