How will Arvato Expand Data Centre Logistics into the US?
Arvato has begun data centre operations in the US as part of its global growth strategy, establishing a presence in Des Moines, Iowa.
The launch follows earlier expansions in Frankfurt and Dubai and marks the first of several planned sites across the country. Future locations are already mapped out in Atlanta, Milwaukee and Dulles.
“The US is the world’s most important market for data centres and a natural next step for our expansion,” says Mitat Aydindag, President Tech at Arvato. “With many of the hyperscalers heavily invested in the US, we are now able to offer our services seamlessly across both sides of the Atlantic – delivering integrated solutions with consistent standards, wherever our clients operate.”
Supporting hyperscalers with advanced services
The company has launched operations in Des Moines by working with one of its largest hyperscaler clients. Services now available include warehousing, white-glove last-mile delivery, cabling, staging and precision handling of sensitive data centre equipment.
Keith Young, Managing Director at ATC and Vice President Data Centre Services at Arvato, says: “With this expansion, we are not only entering a new market – we are creating the foundation for long-term success in one of the most dynamic industries of our time. It’s an investment in people, capability and a future where we are the preferred partner for hyperscalers worldwide.”
The teams in the US have received direct support from international colleagues. Specialists from Frankfurt, London and Dublin contributed to ramp-up activities, providing training to ensure that safety and service quality remain aligned with global standards.
Embedding expertise through ATC
This step into the US market also reflects the integration of ATC, the Irish logistics company that became part of Arvato in January 2025. ATC brings expertise in technical logistics and tailored services for data centres, enhancing Arvato’s ability to support the rapid growth of digital infrastructure projects.

Through this integration, Arvato has expanded its portfolio in areas where hyperscalers and operators face increasing pressure. These include the need for scalable deployment, precision installation and consistent service delivery across multiple geographies.
By building a unified global model, Arvato positions itself as a logistics partner that can meet demand for speed, reliability and specialised handling in the data centre sector.
Scaling global delivery
The move into the US is part of Arvato’s strategy to embed scalable processes and advanced technologies across its logistics network. This enables the company to provide hyperscalers with consistent operational standards, whether projects are in Europe, the Middle East or North America.
The expansion in Des Moines highlights the company’s focus on aligning service capabilities with client expectations in key data centre markets. By combining technical logistics, white-glove delivery and advanced cooling solutions, Arvato strengthens its offering to hyperscalers who are expanding capacity at pace.
As the US remains the largest and most competitive data centre market worldwide, Arvato views this step as essential to supporting clients operating across global regions. With additional sites planned in Atlanta, Milwaukee and Dulles, the company is building the infrastructure to provide end-to-end logistics for hyperscalers at scale.
