StarHub and NeutraDC Team Up on Quantum-Safe Connectivity

StarHub and NeutraDC, the data centre arm of Telkom Indonesia, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to expand quantum-safe and low latency connectivity between Singapore and Indonesia.
The agreement brings together StarHubâs Low-Latency Data Centre Connect solution with NeutraDCâs carrier-neutral data centre platform, supporting enterprises that operate across both markets.
The collaboration focuses on secure cross-border data movement at a time when enterprises are distributing workloads across multiple data centres and cloud regions.
Both companies expect the partnership to strengthen digital infrastructure links and give customers more predictable performance for mission-critical applications.
Enhancing regional interconnectivity
Under the agreement, StarHub will establish a Point of Presence at NeutraDC SNG-3 in Singapore.
The PoP will integrate StarHubâs Low-Latency Data Centre Connect solution directly into NeutraDCâs ecosystem, enabling low-latency routes between data centres, cloud on-ramps and subsea cable landing points.
The approach aligns with Singaporeâs ongoing role as a digital hub by giving enterprises a consistent way to exchange data between facilities in both countries.
It also allows NeutraDC customers to utilise StarHubâs sub-1 millisecond paths to cable landing stations, which are critical for services that rely on stable cross-border latency.
Supporting modern data exchange requirements
StarHubâs Low-Latency Data Centre Connect solution is designed for enterprises that depend on the rapid movement of data between distributed workloads.
It offers predictable routing to cable landing stations and regional cloud providers, along with automated provisioning tools that support high throughput and time-sensitive applications.
Tan Kit Yong, Chief, Regional Enterprise at StarHub, says: âEnterprises today are navigating unprecedented data demands, and they need infrastructure that can keep up with their growth.
âThrough this collaboration with NeutraDC, weâre making it simpler for businesses to move, protect and scale their data, helping them unlock real performance advantages and accelerate their digital transformation across the region.â
The partnership uses software-defined networking features, including network slicing and multi-tenancy portals, to allow customers to scale capacity on demand.
This contributes to more flexible interconnectivity for organisations running data-intensive workloads or managing traffic flows across several geographic sites.
Introducing quantum-safe protection
A central part of the partnership is its focus on quantum-safe encryption.
Both companies intend to support the shift toward quantum-resistant security models by incorporating post-quantum cryptography within their connectivity services.
Quantum-safe networking is becoming more prominent as organisations prepare for potential advances in computing that could undermine widely used encryption standards.
At NeutraDC SNG-3, customers will be able to access quantum-safe transport along with service orchestration tools that automate provisioning and configuration changes.
This is aimed at reducing the operational complexity of managing encrypted links across multiple data centres.
Sendang Praptomo, CEO at NeutraDC Singapore, says: âWe are excited to work with StarHub, a leader with a proven track record of connectivity solutions. This strategic initiative strengthens NeutraDCâs strategy of providing seamless, secure and cloud-ready connectivity to our regional Neutra Compute GPU clouds.
âQuantum secure connectivity represents the new frontier of security, overcoming the limitations of current encryption standards. This will empower our customers to stay ahead of emerging threats and meet evolving business requirements.â
Extending an interconnect ecosystem
The agreement with NeutraDC expands StarHubâs growing network of regional partnerships as the company continues to extend its Low-Latency Data Centre Connect footprint across Southeast Asia.
The model aims to give enterprises a unified way to link facilities, clouds and subsea routes with consistent performance characteristics and quantum-safe protection.
By combining NeutraDCâs carrier-neutral environment with StarHubâs interconnect platform, the companies intend to support data centre operators and enterprise customers that require secure, low-latency pathways for regional growth.
