Vertiv has unveiled OneCore, a global prefab solution to cut deployment time and simplify high-density data centre builds for AI and HPC infrastructure

Vertiv has announced the global launch of its prefabricated data centre infrastructure solution, OneCore.

The system is designed to simplify and accelerate deployments of high-density data centres, including those required for AI, high-performance computing (HPC) and mixed IT workloads.

A single-source modular solution

Vertiv OneCore integrates power, thermal and IT infrastructure into a single, pre-assembled unit.

The system is built in-factory and delivered as a turn-key package, reducing the need for on-site construction and cutting project complexity. Vertiv makes the solution available for enterprise, colocation, sovereign and neocloud environments.

The solution offers a unified slab-up turn-key approach, consolidating the design, installation and operational readiness under one point of contact.

Its building framework uses prefabricated modules such as SmartRun for whitespace fit-outs, all housed in a steel shell provided by Vertiv. This configuration aims to standardise build quality, manage costs and adhere to delivery timelines while simplifying logistics and on-site labour.

Unify, the company’s integrated management platform, is embedded into the system to provide centralised control and monitoring of deployed infrastructure.

"Vertiv OneCore is our answer to the need for reducing complexity and enabling speed in building data centre capacity at scale,” says Viktor Petik, Senior Vice President of Infrastructure Solutions at Vertiv.

“We know the challenge isn't just designing for today's needs but building an adaptable foundation for the future. This solution reduces project complexity by standardising key components while preserving the flexibility to scale and evolve, expand easily and integrate new technologies as business and IT requirements evolve."

Built to scale for high-density workloads

Vertiv OneCore supports facilities with mixed IT loads and high rack densities. Its modular power and cooling systems are built for parallel manufacturing, helping data centre operators reduce cost and delivery times.

It avoids fixed sizing and offers custom configuration options that optimise whitespace and airflow for cooling.

Power capacity ranges from 5 MW to 50 MW per block, with support for 96 to 944 racks per deployment. This level of scalability supports a wide range of compute environments, from moderate-density enterprise workloads to the more power-hungry demands of AI and HPC applications.

The integrated systems include Vertiv’s power and cooling technologies such as Vertiv Trinergy uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, switchgear, busways, CoolChip cooling distribution units (CDUs), perimeter cooling solutions, CoolLoop Trim Cooler and Liebert AFC chillers.

Thermal and power designs allow for concurrent maintainability, ensuring that systems remain available and resilient during servicing or upgrades.

Options for both primary and secondary fluid network redundancy are also built in, alongside support for distributed electrical redundancy.

Adaptable design with global support

The system is compatible with 11–35 kV medium voltage and 400V–480V 3-phase AC input, ensuring regional adaptability.

It also performs across a wide range of operating temperatures, from -20°C to 55°C, making it viable in diverse environmental conditions.

Post-deployment, Vertiv backs the solution with its global service organisation, offering commissioning, proactive maintenance and rapid support to ensure long-term performance and operational efficiency.

Vertiv positions OneCore not only as a deployment solution but also as an option for organisations seeking greater sustainability in their infrastructure.

The company highlights efficiency improvements, reduced power demands and a flexible architecture that can adapt to new technology standards as key sustainability enablers.
