New AI Labs: Dell & TD SYNNEX to Power Europe AI Innovation
Both Dell Technologies and TD SYNNEX have partnered to establish AI testing laboratories in Germany and France, with a third facility planned for the UK before the end of 2025.
The pioneering labs are designed to empower businesses to build, test and scale AI solutions with Agentic RAG and Dell’s AI Factory with Nvidia infrastructure. Such a powerful collaboration between the companies hopes to give channel partners access to AI solutions, testing environments and co-innovation opportunities to speed up go-to-market strategies.
Purpose-built innovation hubs of this scale are designed to fast-track the development and adoption of enterprise-grade AI solutions.
“The collaboration between TD SYNNEX and Dell empowers channel partners to unlock the full potential of AI,” says Craig Smith, Vice President – Data, AI and Applications – Europe at TD SYNNEX. “By integrating pre-configured workflows, hands-on training and customisable proof-of-concepts, we’re redefining how businesses adopt AI solutions.
“Together, we’re accelerating innovation and helping partners bring cutting-edge capabilities to market faster than ever before - driving economic growth and reinforcing Europe’s leadership in the AI space.”
Why this matters to the data centre industry
As demand for more intelligent AI applications surges across multiple industries, businesses are currently dealing with the complexity of deploying AI responsibly and at scale.
Within this, data centres are critical for supporting AI development and deployment by providing the necessary mission-critical infrastructure, which includes high-performance computing (HPC) power, storage and networking capabilities to handle the large processing and energy demands of AI.
Likewise, AI models are trained and run on data centre GPUs.
Therefore, as demand for these applications increases, companies like Dell Technologies are well-positioned to support businesses.
The company says that, according to its recent survey, 82% of organisations are seeing substantial ROI or productivity gains from their current AI initiatives. However, many still lack the ability to effectively scale these technologies, with 93% citing that they experience challenges when integrating AI or generative AI (Gen AI) into their business strategies.
In order to tackle this, Dell AI Labs offers a safe and structured environment where businesses can test, validate and optimise their AI models before deployment. Ultimately, the lab will accelerate AI adoption while mitigating risk.
A significant aspect of the AI Lab experience is Agentic RAG – which is an architecture that enables real-time data retrieval and autonomous decision-making. It is powered by Dell AI Factory with Nvidia and aims to help businesses unify structured and unstructured data, streamline operations, enhance decision-making and secure modular deployment to support diverse use cases and sectors.
“AI is reshaping every industry and the future will be defined by how quickly we can bring innovation from lab to real-world application,” explains Anthony Hills, Director – Enterprise Business – UK&I at Nvidia.
“Through our collaboration with Dell Technologies and TD SYNNEX, the new AI labs in Germany, France and the UK, will help businesses accelerate their AI adoption, drive new discoveries and build the foundation for a more intelligent future.”
The journey towards future-proof AI infrastructure
Combining Dell’s powerful infrastructure, Nvidia’s industry-leading accelerated compute, high-performance networking and AI software and curated partner solutions should enable Dell AI Labs to speed-up the development and deployment of enterprise-grade AI.
- Dell PowerEdge R760 servers with dual NVIDIA Hopper GPUs
- NVIDIA BlueField-3 DPU
- NVIDIA Spectrum-X networking
- High-performance Dell PowerScale F210 storage
- NVIDIA AI Enterprise software stack
The companies say this setup is to ensure a ready-to-deploy platform for demanding AI workloads, which is tailored for sectors including finance, healthcare, government, retail and manufacturing.
The labs will be based at TD SYNNEX facilities and will serve as regional centres of excellence. Dell’s customers and partners across Europe will be able leverage the lab to rapidly test and validate AI Proof-of-Concepts, explore next-generation AI applications like Agentic RAG, co-innovate with AI experts and solution architects and access pre-configured scalable infrastructure to accelerate go-to-market efforts.
Munich, Germany was the first lab that was launched and was developed in collaboration with appliedAI Initiative, a key partner specialising in the end-to-end implementation of enterprise AI solutions and turning advanced hardware into functional AI factories.
The Dell AI Labs in Germany and France will be fully operational and available to customers and partners for AI solutions testing from September 2025.
This is particularly timely for countries like the UK, which are committed to powering ahead with infrastructure growth to support the rapid growth of AI.
“At Dell, we’re committed to supporting Britain’s ambition to lead in the local development of AI. Achieving this vision requires building the infrastructure and cultivating the necessary skills to foster research, drive innovation and deliver breakthroughs that drive technological competitiveness in the UK,” says Steve Young, Senior Vice-President & Managing Director - UK at Dell Technologies.
“Dell AI Labs go beyond solution testing – they will turn AI from a buzzword into business value. By combining Dell’s powerful infrastructure with NVIDIA’s industry-leading AI solutions, we’re empowering businesses to build, scale and shape the future of enterprise AI.”
