Vertiv & GDH collaborate to drive data centre innovation in Dubai Silicon Oasis, in work which will advance biotech research and renewable energy power

Digital infrastructure leader Vertiv and colocation service provider Gulf Data Hub (GDH) have shared details about their data centre collaboration project. The new facility will aim to advance biotechnological research and renewable energy generation in the Dubai Silicon Oasis.

This collaboration celebrates their shared goal of establishing new data centre milestones across the Middle East, with Vertiv’s uninterruptible power supply (UPS), energy storage and cooling technologies.

Gulf Data Hub and Vertiv pioneer high-standard colocation and cloud solutions in Dubai Silicon Oasis

Since its founding, GDH has built data centres which offer customers a resilient environment from hosting, disaster and workplace recovery, cloud platforms and connectivity. It is also a provider of high-standard colocation services.

Vertiv has been committed to powering and cooling data for more than five decades. Headquartered in Ohio, United States, Vertiv has more than 27,000 employees worldwide and does business in more than 130 countries across 23 manufacturing and assembly facilities. The company has a broad range of cooling solutions, including liquid cooling to maximise the efficiency of data centre facility infrastructure.

Vertiv has supported GDH’s potential for years, offering new technologies and solutions to meet critical milestones. The Dubai Silicon Oasis data centre's implementation has helped GDH to uphold its robust operational efficiency and power usage effectiveness (PUE) while still maintaining its standards.

Now, the Dubai Silicon Oasis site is set for expansion, with planning and construction in progress for two new data centre facilities, next to the three that are operational.
