Nordic operator atNorth appoints four country delivery directors as it scales AI ready data centre capacity across Iceland, Finland, Denmark and Sweden

ReykjavĂ­k-based atNorth has expanded its development organisation with four new director-level delivery roles across the Nordics, reflecting accelerating demand for AI-ready data centres and high-performance digital infrastructure.

The Nordic high-density colocation and built-to-suit data centre provider has introduced a new director tier within its development framework, creating dedicated country leads for Iceland, Finland, Denmark and Sweden. 

Latest developments have been designed to support the rollout of new facilities and ensure projects are delivered at speed, with consistent standards, strong local oversight and a clear focus on client requirements.

Scaling AI ready capacity in the Nordics

atNorth’s footprint of AI ready data centres across the region continues to grow as customers seek efficient, sustainable capacity for compute-intensive workloads. 

The new country directors will be responsible for end-to-end delivery in their markets, from early feasibility and site acquisition through design, build and handover into operations.

  • In Iceland, Director of Delivery HallgrĂ­mur Örn ArngrĂ­msson leads development, drawing on more than 15 years of civil engineering and infrastructure project management experience. 

    ​​​​​​​His background covers geotechnical engineering, concrete technology and large-scale civil works across the Nordics, supported by senior roles at Verkís Consulting Engineers and Sweco Norge and certification as an IPMA Level B Senior Project Manager.

  • In Finland, Director of Delivery Toni Germano brings over 25 years of experience in digital transformation for enterprise and service provider clients. 

    At atNorth, Toni is responsible for delivery operations across Finland, ensuring infrastructure projects meet both technical and commercial objectives, informed by previous leadership roles at Cisco including CTO for SP EMEAR North and deep expertise in AI, cybersecurity and cloud-native infrastructure strategy.

  • In Sweden, Director of Delivery Daniel Kolm, who joined atNorth in 2022, now leads development delivery across the country. With a background in mechanical engineering and energy systems.

    Daniel has managed complex industrial construction and production projects, including senior roles at CBRE and DigiPlex where he oversaw multi-disciplinary projects from pre-study through commissioning.
Dave O’Brien, Director of Delivery for Denmark
  • Dave O’Brien, Director of Delivery for Denmark, oversees data centre infrastructure delivery in the country. 

    Dave has more than a decade of experience in data centre construction and engineering, including project and electrical package management roles at Mercury on major retrofit and new-build schemes. His experience spans change management, electrical systems and project estimation for high-performance environments.

Pan-Nordic development model

Together, the four directors form a pan-Nordic delivery team that combines local market knowledge with shared standards and processes. 

Their remit spans the full development lifecycle, from feasibility and site selection to deployment and transition into live operations, supporting hyperscale, enterprise and AI-driven customers.

The roles are also intended to strengthen regulatory alignment and environmental compliance in each market, ensuring data centre developments are managed in a responsible way across the Nordics.
