AVAIO Digital and Schneider Electric team up to deliver next-generation power and cooling systems for AI-ready data centre campuses across the US

AVAIO Digital Partners (AVAIO) has announced a strategic collaboration with Schneider Electric to equip four new AI-ready data centre campuses across the US.

The agreement covers the purchase of switchgear, PDUs, UPS systems and chillers, alongside additional partnerships for generators and electrical gear, setting the stage for large-scale deployments scheduled to begin construction soon.

The collaboration will support AVAIO’s mission to build data centres capable of handling the high power densities and cooling requirements of AI infrastructure. Schneider Electric brings expertise in AI load characterisation and utility integration, alongside renewable energy capabilities that are increasingly critical for sustainable growth.

Schneider’s solutions are designed with EcoDesign principles, enabling customers to cut embedded carbon and improve emissions performance over the long term. By combining sustainability with operational reliability, the company’s systems are intended to ensure that AVAIO’s campuses remain efficient well beyond their initial deployment.

“AVAIO has invested significantly in developing our new data centre campuses across the US and is now ready to commence construction,” says Mark McComiskey, CEO of AVAIO Digital.

“Our partnership with Schneider Electric is a key component of our strategy to develop facilities that provide the next-generation power and cooling needed for successful AI and Cloud infrastructure deployments.

“AVAIO is now well-positioned to bring new data centre capacity online in 2026 to serve the growing compute needs of customers while benefiting the communities and local economies in which we operate. We are also investing in on-site, behind-the-meter utility-scale solar generation at several campuses, responding to the industry focus on powering their AI infrastructure needs directly from renewable sources.”

Lifecycle optimisation and predictive maintenance

A key aspect of the collaboration is Schneider Electric’s condition-based maintenance models and predictive analytics.

These systems are designed to monitor infrastructure continuously, reducing both planned and unplanned downtime while extending equipment lifespan.

This approach not only minimises risk at a systems level but also ensures that costs are controlled over the decades-long lifecycle of data centre assets. For AVAIO, this represents an opportunity to offer customers resilient infrastructure that meets performance targets while aligning with sustainability objectives.

“Our collaboration with AVAIO Digital is focused on enabling customers to deploy their critical IT infrastructure rapidly at the heart of a new-generation of data centre campuses that uniquely address the needs of AI,” notes Vandana Singh, Senior Vice President of Data Centre Business at Schneider Electric.

“We share a common vision of placing energy efficiency and reliability at the core of our approach to customers and look forward to deepening our collaboration as AVAIO’s footprint grows.”

Meeting demand for large-scale AI projects

The rapid growth of AI has created unprecedented demand for data centre capacity, particularly for high-density environments that support AI training and inference workloads

AVAIO’s new campuses are designed to meet these needs with scalable power and cooling infrastructure that can handle next-generation deployments.

“AVAIO Digital is excited to further its partnership with Schneider Electric to support the build out of next-generation infrastructure for AI and cloud customers in a highly sustainable way,” says Joe Hubbard, Senior Director, Global Design and Delivery at AVAIO Digital.
